Crowns & Bridges
You’ve broken a tooth or lost a filling – oh no! Don’t worry – a dental crown can restore your tooth to its original glory. Porcelain crowns closely resemble natural teeth and can even improve the appearance of your smile. At Powell Dental Care, we use crowns to protect weak teeth, restore broken teeth, cover discolored or badly shaped teeth, and to replace missing teeth.
Crowns & Bridges
A fixed bridge is a replacement tooth with crowns attached on either side. Unlike partials, fixed bridges cannot be removed. One missing tooth or a few missing teeth in a row can be replaced with a fixed bridge. In many cases, we can design all-porcelain crowns and bridges, so no metal shows in your smile.
Implant Dentistry
Dental implants are often the best solution for tooth loss. The dental implant is placed in bone and functions like a tooth root. Once the bone tissue integrates with the implant (osseointegration), we can place a custom crown on top of the implant post. Implant crowns provide a stable, permanent, and attractive replacement tooth - stronger than your original tooth. Because dental implants are titanium, there is no risk for decay. For the edentulous patient - those missing many or all of there teeth - implants can restore function and esthetics for a confident smile and improved overall health.
